Item EFFECT OF MSME’S ON FINANCE OF AN INDUSTRY(Bonfring Intellectual Integrity, 2020-01-03) Deepika S; Poornachandrika KThe Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are basically small-sized businesses defined in terms of their investment.40% of India’s gross industrial output is contributed by MSME.45% of India’s total export is from MSME and second largest employer after agriculture .undoubtedly the MSME sector is India’s engine of growth. Considering the economic importance, government of India has enabled a separate act, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (MSMED Act 2006) on the basis of capital investment made in plant and machinery, excluding investments in land and building. The contribution of MSMEs to Gross Domestic Product, Job creation and balanced economic development is well established, there are more than 55 million MSME enterprises in India. However, the lack of adequate, timely, and affordable access to credit has remained the biggest challenge for these enterprises to grow. It is estimated that around 40% to 65% of MSMEs in emerging markets are either underfunded or not funded in the first place, by the formal financial sector. MSMEs are fostering entrepreneurship and generating largest employment opportunities with comparatively lower capital cost next to phenomenal growth of MSMEs in Tamil Nadu. MSMEs produce a wide variety of products in almost all sectors. However, as per global experience, MSMEs have catapulted into the big league of large enterprises by transcending borders, that is, Multinational Corporations (MNCs), when they invest in creation and protection of intellectual properties (IP) and intellectual property rights (IPRs). By creating monopolies globally, either by way of integrating businesses vertically or by creating intellectual property rights, these companies have achieved greater revenues and profits. The former method of obtaining monopoly in the marketplace is now regulated by governments in several countries by laws such as Competition Laws. The main reason attributed behind this is lack of use of update technology and other notable reasons. Hence, this calls for urgent action.Item LEGAL ISSUES RELATING TO MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES(Bonfring Intellectual Integrity, 2020-01-03) Poornachandrika K; Deepika SIn the present scenario of business, small and medium enterprises have been accepted as the engine of growth for promoting equitable development. The MSME’s also have the vital role in Dispersal of industries and generation of employment opportunities. The MSME’s are providing job more than 6 crore people. The MSME sector is contributing 8% of countries GDP, 45% of manufacture and 36% its exports. The MSME’s sector has consistently registered higher growth rate compare to the overall industrial sector. The distribution of MSME’s in all over India is not equal because of unavailability of raw materials, unawareness or lack of entrepreneurial skills development and lack of support of financial and technical assistance from concerning local authorities at district or state and central level. The Unavailability of adequate and timely credit facility, high cost of credit, lack of modern technology, no research and innovation, insufficient training and skill development, complex labor laws are the main problems of the MSME’s. Although, there are various opportunities are available in the development of MSME’s. There must be a detailed survey and research to know the problem and difficulties of MSME’s so that a rapid growth can be attained.
