    A STUDY ON SATISFACTION LEVEL OF MUTUAL FUND INVESTORS

    Mutual funds are seemingly the easiest and the least stressful way to invest in the stock market. Quiet a large amount of money has been invested in mutual funds during the past few years. Any investor would like to invest in a reputed Mutual Fund organization. Mutual funds are financial intermediaries concerned with mobilizing savings of those who have surplus and the canalization of these savings in those avenues where there is a demand for funds. These intermediaries employ their resources in such a manner as to provide combined benefits of low risk, steady return, high liquidity and capital appreciation through diversification and expert management. Reforms in the Indian economic system and the opening up of the economy have been the reasons for the tremendous growth in the Indian capital market. This study analyzes the impact of different demographic variables on the satisfaction of investors towards mutual funds.

    A STUDY ON IMPACT OF FAMILY SIZE AND FAMILY INCOME ON THE INVESTMENT BEHAVIOUR OF SALARIED INVESTORS

    India needs very high rate of investments to make a leap forward in efforts of attaining high level of growth. Since the beginning of planning, the emphasis was on investments the primary instruments of economic growth and increase in national income. This study attempts to deliberate the investment pattern of salaried group of people using convenient sampling method. The opinions collected from the respondents belong to salaried earners, and the population is fixed as 500. Instead of studying the entire range of investors, it is focusing only one segment called salaried Government employees. Various statistical tools are employed to analyze the data like Friedman Rank Test, Chi-square, etc to identify the right relationship among the factors related with investment. Finally it is concluded that salaried group nevertheless of Age and Annual Income, besides their occupation and marital status they used to prefer the investment option which will provide the long term benefit and highly secured cum profitable avenues.

    India needs very high rate of investments to make a bound forward in efforts of attaining high level of growth. Since the beginning of planning, the prominence was on investments the primary instruments of economic growth and increase in national income. This study attempts to premeditate the investment preference of salaried group of people using convenient sampling method. The outlook from the employees belongs to salaried earners, and the population is fixed as 500. Instead of studying the complete range of investors, it is focusing only one segment called salaried Government employees. A variety of statistical tools are employed to analyze the data like Friedman Rank Test, Chi-square, etc to identify the right relationship among the factors related with investment. Finally it is concluded that salaried group nevertheless of age and annual Income, besides their occupation and marital status they used to prefer the investment option which will provide the long term benefit and highly secured cum profitable avenues.

    A STUDY ON PRIVATE SECTOR EMPLOYEES PERCEPTION ON RETURN ON INVESTMENT- AN EMPIRICAL STUDY

    An efficient financial sector mobilizes savings and allocates it to those investments which yield the highest rate of return. Savings are the difference between income and consumption. An increase in the volume of real domestic savings means that resources that would have been used for consumption are released for investment. India has high level of saving rate because of high level of saving motives. Everyone seems to understand the basic principle of investment. Investment means the purchase by an individual of a financial or real asset that produces a return proportion to the risk assumed over some future investment period, for achieving this investor has to decide on how and where to deploy his/her saving. Saving motive is a desire to reserve certain potion of income for future. The main objective of investor is to invest in different investment avenues that deliver expected returns and help to meet the risk in future. There should be some motives for making investments. Employees give more importance to create more reserve to meet the risk in future. Understanding the different investment avenues, can be helpful to increase in total investment. Thus, it is a reward for waiting for money. The study on people’s choice in Investment Choices has been undertaken with the objective, to analyze the return on investment choice of people in Coimbatore District. Analysis of the study was undertaken with the help of survey conducted. After analysis and interpretation of data it is concluded that in Coimbatore District respondents are medium aware about various investment choices but they do not know aware about stock market, equity, bound and debentures. Due to this, the return on investment is based on the physical asset investments.

But the art of investment is to see that the return is maximized with minimum risk, which is inherent in all investments. The funds allocated by the investors to various investment avenues depend on to a large extent on the investment objectives perceived by them.     A STUDY ON PRIVATE EMPLOYEES PREFERENCES TOWARDS INVESTMENT AVENUE

    There are a lot of investment choices and one must select the most appropriate one. The person dealing with the investment must know all the various investment products and the feasibility to choose for the purpose of attaining the overall objectives. Primary data have been collected from 500 respondents through a structure questionnaire covering salaried peoples working in Private sector of Coimbatore District. The sampling technique followed in this study is convenient sampling. In order to analyze the collected data, Chi-square and Friedman Rank Test tools were used. This study examined on employees’ preference for investment in different investment avenues of Coimbatore city. The study concluded that majority of the Private employees prefer to invest due to safety of money, Tax benefits, Regular Returns and Long Term Benefit.

    Retirement, a transitional life event that involves role relinquishment and an increase in leisure hours often has an impact on the structural of daily activities among retirees. Retirement seems to be a crucial Moment in the process of growing older since it is generally viewed as a point in time where older age begins. The need on studying the retired households is significant as this group of the population is living in the era of electronic, technological and wireless society and also been described as well-educated, confident, passionate, upbeat and socially conscious with high integrity. The impact of technology has been considered as one of the factors of the retired households spending and saving habits. This generation highlight on the value of product purchased and as for managing their financial and investment requirements. Retired households became the target of research in similar form mainly due to this group of the population comprises of a large demographic segment of consumers with high spending power.

    In the present era, the vast change in science and technology, change in consumer needs and preferences, globalization of market etc. ,are some of the factors that governs the companies value, sales, profit and public perception of the companies. These changes is reflected in the value of their shares, rise and fall of which is uncertain. A result of this was that many investors lost their trust in share market. Thus there is a need of the mutual fund companies to pool the savings of the investors in a safe channel. And there are many mutual funds in India, which renders different schemes having their own objective. One among them is the Reliance mutual fund which offers a wide opportunity to the investors for a safe investment. Thus, it is necessary to study about the performance of reliance mutual fund and the investors’ attitude and behaviour towards the reliance mutual fund in the present scenario.
