Item ACCESS AND USAGE OF SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES BY ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE STUDENTS IN COIMBATORE CITY(IOSR Journal of Business and Management (IOSR-JBM), 2019-03) D, VijayalakshmiIn this Digital era, social networking sites play an imperative role in the society for communication and interaction. It is an online pedestal to share information, ideas, content, etc., through virtual communication and network. College students are the avid users of social net working sites. It assists them to obtain information regarding academic matters and also to build cordial relationship with teachers and class mates. A sample of 200 respondents from 10 arts and science colleges has been taken for the study by adopting convenience sampling technique. The statistical tools, such as, percentage analysis, multiple response analysis, and chi square test have been applied to analyse the data. The study has concluded that the majority of the students are using face book and you tube. They are familiar with chatting, texting of messages and building of group conversation. They used to access social networking sites at any time anywhere on daily basis for a minimum of one hour. The study has also revealed that the demographic factors, such as, age, sex, and students doing part time job have a significant association with the number of years of using social networking sites and age has a significant association with the number of times of accessing social networking sites per day.Item ANALYSIS OF CAPITAL STRUCTURE DETERMINANTS: SELECTED SERVICE COMPANIES(International research journal of management & Commerce, 2017-08) Thulasipriya B; PavithraCapital structure is one of the most significant features of organizational finance and should be managed efficiently. The present study is conducted with a regression analysis, to analyze the determinants of capital structure of service companies. For conducting the present study, annual reports from 11 service companies, listed in stock exchange in India (2017), is collected for last 5 years i.e. from 2012 to 2016. Analysis shows that Liquidity and dividend payout ratio are positively correlated with profitability and negatively correlated with other variables. Profitability is positively correlated with size and growth. It is negatively correlated with the non debt tax shield and tangibility. Size is positively correlated with the ndts, tangibility and growth. There is a positive correlation between ndts, tangibility and growth. Regression result shows that the size, tangibility and growth have positive impact on debt equity ratio and liquidity, dividend payout ratio, profitability and non debt tax shield have negative impact on debt equity ratio.Item AN ANALYSIS OF INNOVATIVE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AMONG WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN COIMBATORE CITY(International Journal of Commerce and Management Research, 2016-03) S, Sujatha; N, Yesodha DeviProduct development is an intellectual process. Multistage sampling techniques have been employed in the selection of 300 women entrepreneurs engaged in service and manufacturing sector. Data were collected primarily using interview schedule. Data were analysed using percentage analysis, Descriptive analysis, chi-square analysis and ANOVA. In this association, the main objective of this study is to observe the importance of TQM on higher education institutions in developing a nation and the students‘ perception towards total quality management in higher education towards Deming‘s principle. This study has considered top colleges based on NIRF ranking, respondents has been selected based on convenience and selective tools has been applied to derive a positive finish.Item AN ANALYTICAL STUDY ON MOVEMENTS OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES IN INDIA(Emperor international journal of finance and management research, 2018-03) D, Vijayalakshmi; S, MonicaIn India after economic reforms, there was a development in the external sector of the economy because of the growth in the accumulation of Foreign exchange reserves in the country. India holds adequate foreign exchange reserves to meet the external shocks prevailing in the economy. Foreign exchange reserves are accumulated to meet the external debt of the country, merchandise trade operational activities and to reduce the volatility of the currency fluctuations. In this background there is a need to study the movements of foreign exchange reserves. The study focuses on the following objectives-i)To study the trend and growth of the foreign exchange reserves and its elements such as special drawing rights(SDR),Gold, foreign currency assets(FCA) and reserve tranche position. ii)The study also identifies the factors determining the foreign exchange reserves in India. The variables considered for the study are GDP, Exports, Imports and Exchange rate. The study has covered a period of ten years from 2007-08 to 2016-17. Debt equity ratio and debt to total fund are used as the measures for capital structure while return on equity, return on capital employed and return on asset as the proxy for profitability. The increase in imports of the goods has created a demand for the foreign currency in the country. India imports more of gold and crude oil products, where it has an impact on the current account deficit in the Indian economy. Wastelands in India can be converted into cultivable lands where Organic farming can be implemented which will increase the productivity of organic products in future. Consumers’ awareness and perception of health care service quality therefore play an important role when choosing a hospital. This study is to identify the consumer awareness, perception and the problems faced by the respondents in hospitals. The data has been collected from 50 consumers in Coimbatore by applying random sampling technique. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis and weighted score analysis have been used to analyze the data. Finding of the study reveals that there is no significant relationship between age, gender, educational level, occupation, family type, marital status and level of satisfaction of Hospitals.
