Most of the children are eagerly watching cartoon programs on television. This is a subject of research that how television educates the children about various aspect of life and what are the impacts of cartoon programs on children. This study is used to know about children’s interest on type of cartoon and favourite channels and analyzing the parental perception towards children viewing cartoon. This research indicates the positive and negative attitude of rural children towards various aspects of cartoon programs.Item DIGITALIZATION: A SCENARIO OF NEW NORMAL(2022) Karthika AThe digital economy consists of numerous economic activities that use digital technology as a core factor for economical and other financial activities. The digital technologies drive innovation and fuel job opportunities and economic growth as its contribution. The e-commerce transactions of Asia occupy 25% of the business to consumer market in the world, lead by the People’s Republic of China. A significant transformation of the technology is needed for business enterprises across all industries are to survive and thrive in the new normal scenario. Although digitalization positively affects the productivity across sectors, its impact on employment and limited resource also persist. The new business environment will be dominated by digital ecosystems that enable multiple producers and business-to-business (B2B) customers to connect. In order compete and sustain in the future, the manufacturers must digitize all their processes and the customers should be prepared to access and satisfy their requirements digitally. As there is proliferation of loyaltycards over the wide range of categories, this is little research that also focuses on loyalty cards and measurementof its impact on consumer satisfaction level. The need of measuring the impact of loyalty cards is that loyalty programs acts as incentive schemes which benefits consumers based on the repeated purchases made by them.The loyalty cards encourage the consumers to make decisions more dynamically while making repeated purchases with the same shop. The study is based on primary data collected from 120 small retailers in Coimbatore. Simple random sampling technique was applied and the data have been analyzed using the statistical tools namely, Percentage Analysis, Descriptive statistics, Mean Ranking and Kendall’s (W) co-efficient of concordance to reveal the results of the study. Small retailers have appreciated the initiative taken by the government to become a cashless economy and they have started to practice it. It involvesbuildingself confidence, raising awareness, expanding choices, increasing access to and control over resources. So empowering rural women, who are the backbone of our agrarian economy, is a sure path to achieve major economic gains. The rural women have a much greater, positive influence in factors governing sustainable development of the country. The present study is made to find out the role of family in encouraging rural women entrepreneurs, the problems faced by rural women entrepreneurs in promoting their venture and the measure they take to overcome difficulties. The study is based on primary data collected from 75 rural women entrepreneurs in Coimbatore. Simple random sampling technique was applied and the data have been analyzed using the statistical tools like simple percentage analysis and Kendall’s coefficient of concordance to reveal the results of the study. The rural women entrepreneurs have lack of family support as their major problem, and they have opined that when they could raise loans from banks and if they get family support in all their endeavours they will be able to overcome their difficulties and achieve great heights in their career.Item A STUDY ON USAGE OF DIGITAL MODES FOR FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS – WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TOWARDS WOMEN STUDENTS IN COIMBATORE(Intercontenental Journal of Finance Research Review, 2017-02) P, Aishwarya; M, Maheshwari; S, RadhikaThe digital economy is the new productivity platform that some experts regard as the third industrial revolution. Digital revolution, also known as ‘The Internet Economy’ or Internet o Everything (IoE), is expected to generate new market growth opportunities, jobs and become the biggest business opportunity of mankind in the next 30 to 40 years. The current study on usage of digital modes for financial transactions – with special reference towards women students in Coimbatore has made an attempt to study the usage of digital modes and to know about the difficulties faced in such usage by the respondents. Primary data have been collected from 100 women students who are pursuing commerce degree at various colleges in Coimbatore. Data have been collected during February 2017. Descriptive statistical tool, percentage analysis and inferential statistical tools have been employed to analyze the primary data collected for study purpose. Sample for the study has been chosen by using convenience sampling technique. It has been found that majority of the students have not yet started using digital modes other than debit/credit card for financial transaction.
