    The primary aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between game addiction and academic achievements. The secondary aim was to adapt a self-report to measure game addiction. Hundred and twenty high school and higher secondary students participated in this study. Quota sampling technique has been used. Data were collected questionnaire that include a brief explanation of the aim of the study.     IMPACT OF CASHLESS ECONOMY ON SMALL RETAILERS – AN ANALYTICAL STUDY IN COIMBATORE

    Cashless economy has been proposed successfully and the Government of India started implementing it through plans such as demonetization, e-payments, online banking, etc., The present study has been made to find out the opinion of small retailers on cashless economy and the problems faced by small retailers in accessing e-payment systems. The study is based on primary data collected from 120 small retailers in Coimbatore. Simple random sampling technique was applied and the data have been analyzed using the statistical tools namely, Percentage Analysis, Descriptive statistics, Mean Ranking and Kendall’s (W) co-efficient of concordance to reveal the results of the study. Small retailers have appreciated the initiative taken by the government to become a cashless economy and they have started to practice it. As they practice, there have been few issues that they face, namely, high transaction cost, security threats, etc., Hence, if the government ensures eradication of such small problems retailers would feel happy to be a part of cashless movement initiated.

    A STUDY ON USAGE OF DIGITAL MODES FOR FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS – WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TOWARDS WOMEN STUDENTS IN COIMBATORE

    The digital economy is the new productivity platform that some experts regard as the third industrial revolution. Digital revolution, also known as ‘The Internet Economy’ or Internet o Everything (IoE), is expected to generate new market growth opportunities, jobs and become the biggest business opportunity of mankind in the next 30 to 40 years. The current study on usage of digital modes for financial transactions – with special reference towards women students in Coimbatore has made an attempt to study the usage of digital modes and to know about the difficulties faced in such usage by the respondents. Primary data have been collected from 100 women students who are pursuing commerce degree at various colleges in Coimbatore. Data have been collected during February 2017. Descriptive statistical tool, percentage analysis and inferential statistical tools have been employed to analyze the primary data collected for study purpose. Sample for the study has been chosen by using convenience sampling technique. It has been found that majority of the students have not yet started using digital modes other than debit/credit card for financial transaction.
