One outcome has been the proliferation of a variety of pricing formats, and considerable debate among academics and practitioners about how these formats affect consumers’ store choice behavior. Supermarket managers, in particular, stress that “nothing is more important in business than getting the pricing strategy right” (Supermarket Business 1993). Some retailers position themselves on the basis of “Low Prices, Everyday” across a wide assortment of product categories, while others offer temporary deep discounts in a smaller group of categories. The former strategy is commonly known as “EDLP,” the latter as “HILO.”Item A STUDY ON CONSUMER INTENTION TOWARDS ORGANIC PRODUCTS WITH REFERENCE TO COIMBATORE CITY(International Journal for Research in Engineering Application & Management (IJREAM), 2019-04) V, SaranyaThe results revels that preference towards organic food product represent the strongest relationship with buyers’ intention to buy organic food product followed by the buyers’ belief that buying organic product is healthy and it gives balanced diet. However, other aspects like awareness on government support and information on product location are found to be immaterially related to the intention to purchase organic products. There is a need to open more organic products shops in Coimbatore. Data was collected in and around Coimbatore district. A total of 150 completed questionnaires were gathered, using stratified sampling method. The findings gave useful information to organic producers to help them to develop effective marketing strategies and to enhance purchasing behaviour among consumers in Coimbatore district.Item A STUDY ON FARMERS PERCEPTION TOWARDS ORGANIC FARMING WITH REFERENCE TO UDUMELPET(International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews (IJRAR), 2019-06) V, SaranyaOrganic farming in India is gaining fame all over the planet, as it can enlarge agricultural production systems towards to achieve improved productivity, food and farm income, as well as environmental safety. The aim of this study was therefore to assess farmers perception of organic farming and issues related with it. The present study was conducted in udumelpet, Tamilnadu. Chi-square analysis was used to test the hypotheses. The Study revealed that there is no significant association between age and perception of farmers , education and knowledge of farmers in organic farming.
