Item EFFECTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF MSME IN INDIAN ECONOMY(Bonfring Publishers., 2020-01) Uma M; Shiji RMSMEs are the power engines of the economy. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) constitute over 90 percent of total enterprises in most of the economies and are credited with generating highest rate of employment growth and also account for a major share of industrial production and exports. This study aims to investigate the major challenges faced by MSMEs today. It also suggests policy recommendations that would help in overcoming those challenges. The government needs to hand-hold the MSME units in order to promote growth in the manufacturing sector. The state of infrastructure is not satisfactory and calls for more investment from the government. Banks are not so willing to provide loans to these units which challenge the prospects of growth in these units. Delayed payments are a big problem which needs tighter rules on the buyer-side in order to safeguard the interests of the manufacturers.Item IMPACT OF DEMONETIZATION ON BLACK MONEY IN INDIA(Bonfring Publishers, 2020-01) Shiji R; Uma MIndia being the largest democracy in the world with a population of over 1.25 crores have to cater to the need of a greatly diverse society. Since Independence measures have been taken by different governments in order to achieve high rate of economic growth. The efforts taken in this direction have been subdued by the rising population accompanied by corruption in the society. The BJP Government led by the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi took a massive step which was to Demonetize the two major currency notes of rupees 500 and rupees 1000 in order to curb the menace of black money prevalent in the society. This paper aims to analyze the positive and the negative impacts of the entire demonetization process. In order to study the impact of the process this paper laid a great emphasis on differentiating between undisclosed income and Black and also tried to answer a critical question of whether the black money was discovered or destroyed in the entire process. It was observed that the process has effected differently to the different sections of the society and has not been able to achieve the tall claims as have been suggested by the government. However this has certainly created awareness and a caution regarding the accumulation of black money in India.Item A STUDY ON ENTREPRENEURS AWARENESS TOWARDS CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SCHEMES(International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews (IJRAR), 2019-06) Uma M; Arthi ArulmoorthyEntrepreneur is a person who setup a business or taking on financial risk in the hope of profit. This study states the level of awareness of schemes among the entrepreneurs. The objective is to study the level of awareness of the schemes provided by central government for entrepreneurs. This data is collected from the structured questionnaire with 100 respondents. Simple percentage is used in this study to know the perception of Entrepreneurs towards schemes provided by central government. The Entrepreneurial perception toward loan is found to be more predominant and considered as a security for the new venture.Item A STUDY ON PERFORMANCE OF MSME IN INDIAN ECONOMY(Bonfring Publishers, 2020-01) Uma M; Shiji RThe Micro, Small & Medium enterprises (MSMEs) areone of the most vital sectors of any economy in general and India in particular in ensuring equitable, inclusive & employment friendly economic growth. This sector also plays very important role in socio–economic development of Indian economy on account of their inherent advantages like low capital requirement, high employment generation, and decentralization of industrial activity, utilization of locally available resources and widening of entrepreneurial base. MSMEs has performed exceedingly well and enabled the country to achieve a wide measure of industrial growth and diversification over five decades.
