Item ANALYTICAL VIEW ON FARMERS PERCEPTION TOWARDS DIGITAL MARKETING IN COIMBATORE DISTRICT(Our Heritage, 2020-02) Sujatha S; KavimanipiryaMarketing being a well-developed methodological science, changes its rules constantly and companies have to develop new paradigms and need more up-to-date information to make timely decisions. The role of marketing in the development of business is intact but the way it is executed is radically changing due to the contributions of advanced technology. Over the past few decades the whole world has been experiencing a new global economic order which is branded as information and communication technologies and now as digital technologies. From being physical to virtual a revolutionary change is taking place which is influenced by the spread of knowledge which has given rise to an era of technology and information.Digital technology has opened new channels for selling products. It is of no privilege that the agro-products too got a gateway to get away to the ultimate consumers. Deploying digital marketing would enable the farmers to become more competitive. There is a dearth of studies which explores the determinants of adoption of digital marketing in agro – products in various regions. The present study is being attempted in this purview to analyse the satisfaction perceived by the farmers involving in digital marketing as well as the problems faced by them.Item AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON WORK LIFE BALANCE OF WORKING WOMEN(Our Heritage, 2020-02) Sujatha S; Menaka GToday work-life balance has become an increasingly universal concern for employers as well as employees. Work life balance generally refers to an employee’s ability to maintain a healthy balance between their work roles, their personal responsibilities, and family life. The main objective of the analysis is to study the importance of work life balance to women and to examine the factors affecting work life balance. Simple random technique is used by collecting questionnaire from 100 respondents in Coimbatore city. Percentage analysis, Descriptive analysis and ANOVA have been used for analysis. The study results that a poor balance between work and personal life not only affects employees, but it also affects the companies that they work for and also their family. Women experience high levels of stress and anxiety due to poor work-life balance and working women are forced to make a difficult choice or compromise resulting in stress and anxiety thereby adversely affecting their health. People experience stress in different ways and for different reasons. The main objective of the analysis is to study the factors causing stress among the employees and to identify the coping strategies to mitigate stress. Simple random sampling technique is used by collecting questionnaire from 100 respondents in Coimbatore city. Percentage analysis, Descriptive analysis and ANOVA have been used for analysis. This study focuses to find out the causes of stress among doctors in the hospitals and also ascertain the remedies to adopt to mitigate the ill effects of stress.Item WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS: DRIVING FACTORS AND GROWTH – A STUDY IN COIMBATORE CITY(Journal of Global Economy, 2010-01) Kanchana V S; Yesodha Devi N; Sujatha SThe present investigation was carried out in Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu state to know the socio economic background, impact of driving factors, and growth of women entrepreneurs. Total 150 respondents were interviewed with the help of pre-tested interview schedule. Random sampling technique was adopted for the selection of women entrepreneurs. The study was designed to cover the women entrepreneurs running their own enterprise. Tools applied are Percentage Analysis, Friedman Rank Test, Chi square Analysis and correlation. It was found that (60%) of them belong to backward community, (62.7%) have started a new business and (88%) of the women entrepreneurs do their business within the state, 53.3% have started their business out of own investment. Family members to certain extent had an influence in all the business matters. The performance level indicates that there is increase in sales when compared to the year of starting. (40%) of the respondents ranked contribution to family income as the motivational factor for starting their own enterprise followed by use of spare time. The personal factors like community, education qualification, type of family and family size shows a significant difference on the type of enterprise. The personal factors age, community, marital status and family size of the respondents have a significant difference on the type of organization and all the personal factor has a significant difference on the nature of business. Contributing to the family income is the important motive for starting an enterprise of their own.
