Item A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF CONVENTIONAL & HYBRID PLANS OF LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA(JM Publishers, India, 2017-12) S, Rheeta Marjery; R S, KanimozhiThe purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze the level of motivational preference towards the influencing factors of conventional and hybrid plans of Life Insurance Corporation of India. Sample population for research was taken from Avinashi road branch which is a leading branch in Coimbatore city. Among the respondents the policy holders who had both conventional and hybrid plan were selected. A sample from 50 respondents was collected. The data were collected by personal interview with a help of pre-tested comprehensive interview schedule which was prepared after a pilot study. Descriptive analysis and inferences such as ANOVA, Mean, Standard Deviation and Ranking were used to analyze the data. The significant difference in motivational factor was tested and it was found that there was high significant difference in motivational factors and the type of policy possessed. It was found that 72 percent of respondents preferred conventional plans for its safety and security. Awareness towards hybrid plan can be created as the ratio of policy holders at present ranged between 1:7 with hybrid plan to conventional plan in the sample area. Micro insurance can be introduced to cater the needs of the financially excluded population, for the benefit of the society and economical upliftment of our country.Item A CRITICAL STUDY OF PET STORE RETAIL BUSINESS WITH REFERENCE TO COIMBATORE DISTRICT(Avinash Higher Education Consultancy Services, Bangalore, 2015-10) R S, Kanimozhi; S, Suma DeviPet Store Industry is a unique and innovative form of retailing. New products, new formats and new technologies have always been elements any progressive retailer has had to embrace and successfully integrate into its core strategies. Growing urbanization, and increase in disposable incomes have contributed significantly to the increase in number of households owning pets. Market size, activity and dominance of product markets, such as, dog food, and cat food tend to vary across regional markets. The study revealed that pet store owners’ are highly motivated to start the pet business by self interest and self motivation. They have to give importance for money back guarantee for the products and service availed in their pet store. Majority of the pet retailer created awareness through word of mouth to their pet store. Changing lifestyles in the form of the rise in nuclear families and double income households have encouraged the growth of pet ownership in urban areas of India. The Indian pet foods market is a young, growing market and there are a few major players that are active in it. The study presents commercial as well as research opportunities, as pets not only provide value to their owners but also influence their human companions’ behaviours. For this reason, understanding the segments within this market and their characteristics, such as key value orientations and behavioural patterns, is imperative. The study is particularly relevant for pet-related customer’s purchase behaviour because they are intangible and are not for buyer’s usage.Item AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON AWARENESS AND UTILIZATION OF AGRICULTURE SUBSIDIES BY THE FARMERS-WITH REFERENCE TO PALLADAM AREA(Invention Journal - International Journal of Business and Management Invention, 2017-06) R S, KanimozhiAgriculture sector is undoubtedly most important sector of Indian economy as it provides employment to 60% of people and food security of India revolves around this sector. It employs more than 90 million people and contributes 15.4 percent gross value addition (GVA) to the Indian economy. Its importancecan be gauged by the fact that whenever there is fear of deficit monsoon, whole of the population ranging from farmers, workers, businessmen, policy makers and even foreign investors are caught into nervousness. Among the agriculture production incentives subsidies are considered to be the most powerful instruments for accelerating the growth of agricultural production. Subsidy is a policy adopted by government to support and encourage farmers to continue in the culture of agriculture. In India in last few years the rate of subsidy has evenly grown up to 55-60% on an average. Simple random sampling technique has been used to collect the data from 150 respondents. The result revealed that the cultivation of land plays a predominate role in effective utilization of government subsidies for the farmers and the respondents aged above 41 years are highly satisfied with government subsidies. Most of the subsidies provided are designed to compensate the high cost of production and to stimulate the use of modern input. The study has suggested that most of the farmers have not aware about the export subsidies, so that the government should take initiatives in creating awareness among the farmers. Further, the more procedure and formalities are to be reduced for availing the subsidies from the Government.Item AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON CUSTOMERS’ BUYING BEHAVIOUR AND SATISFACTION TOWARDS PET STORE(Inter-Continental Management Research Consortium, 2015-11) R S, Kanimozhi; S, Suma DeviCustomer buying behavior is the study of the ways of buying and disposing of goods, services, ideas or, experiences by the individuals groups and organization in order to satisfy their needs and wants. Changing lifestyles in the form of the rise in nuclear families and double income households have encouraged the growth of pet ownership in urban areas of India. Increasingly, pets are being looked upon as companions and members of the family. Pet owners are more willing to spend on pet food and pet care products than ever before. India has emerged as one of the best potential pet care markets in the Asian sub-continent after Japan owing to the changing lifestyles, rise in nuclear families and double income households, which have encouraged the growth of pet ownership in the country. The study revealed that different age groups and household types express their relationship with their pets. It also infers that more female respondents own pets. In the days to come, with pets increasingly being treated as fashion accessories, pet owners, especially in the urban areas, are expected to spend more on their pets.Item AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON PARENTSAWARENESS AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS CHILD VACCINATION(IJRAR- International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews, 2019-01-10) R S, Kanimozhi; M, KarthikaVaccination protects the child health and it prevents them from spreading disease to other people. In India, vaccination is only an money oriented but in the foreign countries vaccination play a crucial role because they have an in depth knowledge on vaccination. The study has enlightened the essential and safety measures to vaccinate their child. The study reveals the parents attitude towards vaccination and the problem faced by them. Under this background, of the study has focused on to analyze the knowledge of the parents towards vaccination. The data has been collected from 220 respondents by applying purposive sampling technique. Statistical tools such as descriptive, ANOVA, chi-square have been used to analysis the data.Findings of the study reveal that there is no significant relationship between demographic factors and the attitude level of parents towards child vaccination.The study suggested that inclusion of vaccination certificate in school enrolment will make the parents to give the vaccination at right time.Hospitals can be provided with vaccination booklets, explaining about the importance of vaccination and how to manage its side effects. So the government has formally launched a special immunization drive in high focus area in the countrywith an aim to reach 90 per cent coverage by 2020.Item A STUDY ON AWARENESS REGARDING DIABETES AND ITS MANAGEMENT(IJRAR- International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews, 2019-01-10) R S, Kanimozhi; R, DhivyaDiabetes has emerged as one of the world’s biggest health problem. It is a major and growing health problem affecting more than 171 million people worldwide. India is one of the top three countries with a high number of diabetic populations. The number of diabetes patients is likely to rise to 101 million in India by 2030, estimates the World Health Organisation (WHO). The study on awareness regarding diabetes and its management is restricted to diabetes patients. It evaluates the awareness among the diabetes. It also identifies the psychological factors and remedies to overcome diabetes. Purposive sampling method has been used to collect the data from the respondents. Simple Percentage analysis, Multiple responses, Descriptive statistics, ANOVA and t-test. The findings of the study reveal that 50.7 per cent of the respondents take Allopathic medicine to reduce their sugar level. Health drink occupies a part of our day to day life and becomes necessary to human health. Health food drinks provide nourishments for the family, particularly growing children and serve as energy providers for adults. The health drink available in the market today can be categorized depending on the needs of the consumer which are made to just deliver essential mineral and vitamins in the body. It also aimed towards increasing energy levels or increasing the muscle reaction to certain activities. The present study seeks to examine the attitude of 200 respondents about their brand preference towards health drinks. The relevant data of the socio economic profile, brand preference, the factors influencing to use particular health drinks, the customer satisfaction level were collected with the help of a structured questionnaire. It enables the firms to expand their horizons, reducing the business risks, exploring new markets and geographical areas thereby increasing the profits and gaining through competitive advantage. The present study aims at assessing the profitability position of Pharmaceutical Industry in India. Ratio analysis techniques have been used to analysis and interpret general financial statements to assess the financial position. Secondary sources have been used for collection of various financial ratios for three years pre and three years’ post-merger and acquisition of the sample companies. Findings of the study reveal that, there has a positive impact of merger and acquisition in pre-merger compared to post- merger and acquisition in terms of selected profitability variables. But excessive pressure can lead to stress, which undermines performance. Stress is ubiquitous and has become an integral part of everyday living, an unavoidable consequence of modern living. During the past decade, the banking sector had under gone rapid and striking changes like policy changes, increased competition due to the entrance of more private sector banks, introduction of new technologies, etc. Due to these changes, the employees in the private banking sector are experiencing a high level of stress. Bank employees admit that stress is affecting their jobs, family life and health unpredictable economy, pressure to maintain profitability and increased responsibilities are main causes of stress. The present study intents to measure the satisfaction level of private bank employees, the reasons that leads to occupational stress, the difficulties faced by them due to stress and the ways to overcome such job stress of private bank employees. The relevant data of the socio economic profile, their satisfaction level, reason for occupational stress and the ways to overcome the occupational stress were analyzed with the help of well structured questionnaire. The survey was conducted on the basis of convenient sampling method. ATM cards are used by all sectors in order to handle safety for all type of transactions. The present study seeks to identify the preference of 125 dents of ATM customer and their satisfaction towards using of the ATM cards. The respondents were selected by Random sampling technique in Coimbatore city of Tamil Nadu. The relevant data socio economic profile, the factors influencing to use ATM cards, the Customer satisfaction level were collected with the help of structured questionnaires. Majority of the respondents are Male belonging to the age group of up to 30 years with a family members of more than three and most of them are employed and unmarried with a educational qualification of under graduate. The chi-Square analysis shows that personal factors like age and Educational Qualification had significant influence on the level of preference and the factors like place of residence, frequent usage of ATM, gender and purpose of using ATM, annual income, occupation are not highly significant influence on the Level of preference in using the ATM cards. Improvements that increase the number and improve the quality of organs that are available for transplantation have been slow to come, with most of them have been developed through innovations in local practice standards. The research study has analyzed the public awareness and willingness towards organ donation. The survey has been conducted on the basis of Purposive sampling method. The survey has been conducted in Coimbatore city with sample size of 150 respondents. The findings of the study reveal that 40 per cent of the respondents are in the age group of 25 years – 34 years, 60 per cent of the respondents are female, and 40.7 per cent of the respondents are aware through their friends & relative. The study suggested that, awareness towards organ donation should be made to increase the donors. The result of the Job stress ultimately affects the physical as well as mental health. Stress has been defined in different ways over the years.It is a condition in which any human is confronted with an opportunity or demand related to what they desire and for which the outcome is perceived to be both uncertain and important. Purposive sampling technique is used to collect the data from 200 respondents using questionnaire. The statistical tools such as Simple percentage analysis, ANOVA, t-test, and Chi-square test have been used for analysis of this study. Stress in the private sector is caused not only by salary but also by the workload and time pressure. The study suggested that the employees should follow Proper health care tips which will reduces the health problems faced by them,time management programs will reduce the time pressure and deadlines faced in the work environment.
