Commodities are products which are outputs of primary sector. A commodity includes all kinds of goods. FCRA defines "goods" as "every kind of movable property other than actionable claims, money and securities". Commodities have commercial value and can be transacted. They are considered to be separate asset class. India is the second largest producer of agricultural outputs. With the change in the economic policies in the early 1990s, our country has witnessed a sea change in the consumption pattern too. Many products which were not that popular in Indian markets have now captured the markets. The data has been collected from the secondary sources and statements for the period of 2015-2019 (5years). Uses statistical process control charts to monitor system performance on an ongoing basis. This is the normally the point lying between maximum and minimum level. To calculate the reorder level, multiply the average daily usage rate by the lead time in inventory management. the reorder level formula is that inventory level at which an entity should issue a purchase order to replenish the amount on hand. The reorder level assume a constant rate of inventory usage, which is frequently not the case. Arbitrage is the practice of taking advantage of a price difference between two or more markets or exchanges. In the Indian market stocks are traded in two major exchanges such as National Stock Exchange (NSE) & Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The objective of this study is to measure the performance of share prices of top 10 companies. The performance of the company can be analysed using opening and closing share price of the companies. The data used for research work is secondary data was collected for a period of 3 months. In order to identify the companies Beta, standard deviation tool was used. The conclusion and suggestion was based on the data which were collected.Item A STUDY ON SPECULATIVE BEHAVIOUR OF GOLD METAL COMMODITY(2022-09-10) vijayalakshmi D; Manasha SSpeculation in commodity market is an important indicator that affects the prices of the commodities. Speculation is known as the purchase of a good for resale, or for temporary sale of a good with the purpose of repurchasing it later by hoping that earning profit from an interceding price change. Normally, excessive speculation in commodity market pushes up the prices and speculation create more fluctuations in prices. In this background, the studies focus on trend of speculation in gold future returns and also assess the short – run relationship between Gold futures returns and Speculative ratio. The data have been obtained from the MCX website. The statistical and econometric tools, such as, descriptive statistics, OLS Regression Model and Granger causality tests have been applied to analyze the data. The result of the study reveals that, time trend affects the speculation and there is no short run relationship between Gold futures returns and Gold Speculative ratio. Hence, it is proved that speculation is independent of futures price.Item A STUDY ON VARIOUS OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO INVESTORS WHILE INVESTING IN GOLD(International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews (IJRAR), 2020-02-09) Manasha S; SeethalakshmiAbstract In the current market scenario of high volatile, rapidly changing market place, various avenues for investment in gold are creating the confusion among Investors. As per various studies 16,000 tons of gold is there in Indian households predominantly in the form of jewellery There are various alternatives available for investment in gold through options like jewellery coins, bullions, ETF, mutual funds, E-gold etc. The present study is to identify the various options available for investors in gold investment tries to study forms of gold investment avenues available to investors. The objectives of the study are to understand the various investment options for investors, while investing in gold. A sample 50 investors has been collected towards investment in gold. Percentage and ranking method were used for this analyzing the data. The result showed that it is found that many investors prefer jewellerygold coins and gold bullion bars forms of investment and going to found that prefer to invest in ETF and future and option which gives more profit and easy form of investment
