Item AG-NI BIMETALLIC FILM ON CAF2 PRISM FOR HIGH SENSITIVE SURFACE PLASMON RESONANCE SENSOR(Photonics Letters of Poland, 2021-09-30) Ananthan, Nisha; Pandaram, Maheswari; Santhanakumar, Subanya; Ponnusamy, Munusamy Anbarasan; Karuppaiya, Balasundaram Rajesh; Zbigniew, JaroszewiczWe present a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) structure based on Kretschmann configuration incorporating bimetallic layers of noble (Ag) and magnetic materials (Ni) over CaF2 prism. Extensive numerical analysis based on transfer matrix theory has been performed to characterize the sensor response considering sensitivity, full width at half maxima, and minimum reflection. Notably, the proposed structure, upon suitably optimizing the thickness of bimetallic layer provides consistent enhancement of sensitivity over other competitive SPR structures. Hence we believe that this proposed SPR sensor could find the new platform for the medical diagnosis, chemical examination and biological detection.Item AG-NI BIMETALLIC FILMON CAF2PRISM FOR HIGHSENSITIVE SURFACE PLASMON RESONANCE SENSOR(Photonics Letters of Poland, 2021-09-30) Ananthan, Nisha; Pandaram, Maheswari; Santhanakumar, Subanya; Ponnusamy, Munusamy Anbarasan; Karuppaiya, Balasundaram Rajesh; Zbigniew, JaroszewiczWe presenta surface plasmon resonance (SPR) structure based on the Kretschmann configurationincorporating bimetallic layers of noble (Ag) and magnetic materials (Ni)over a CaF2prism. Electric and magnetic energy densities are tailored by properly manipulating radial as well as initial phases to generate novel focal patterns in the focal area. These peculiar properties may find application in fields such as optical trapping, optical recording, magnetic recording, magnetic resonance microscopy and semiconductor inspection.Item GENERATING NOVEL FOCAL PATTERNS FOR RADIAL VARIANT VECTOR BEAM FOCUSING THROUGH A DIELECTRIC INTERFACE(Photonics Letters of Poland, 2023-03-31) Maruthasalam, Lavanya; Duraisamy, Thiruarul; Karuppaiya, Balasundaram Rajesh; Zbigniew, JaroszewiczElectric and magnetic energy densities as well as energy flux (Poynting vector) for radial variant vector beam focusing through a dielectric interface is analyzed numerically based on vector diffraction theory.
